In Tuesday's league challenge, the host Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes softball squad scored a good 9-1 triumph over the Oconee County Warriors.
Next, the Purple Hurricanes play the Morgan County Bulldogs (Madison, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, October 1. Monroe Area will attempt to upgrade on its 16-7 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 12-7 record after their 10-5 league win over Pike County (Zebulon, GA).
The Warriors (6-16) will now prepare for their battle against East Hall (Gainesville, GA). The Vikings come into the 3A Region 8 challenge with a 6-13 record. In their last challenge, East Hall was routed by Jefferson (Jefferson, GA), 12-0, in a league challenge.
