The American Eagles topped the host Irvington Vikings volleyball team by a tally of 3-0 in Thursday's league outing.

The Eagles now have a 4-1 record. They play next when they host Mission San Jose for a Mission Valley outing on Tuesday, September 16. American will play a Warriors team coming off a 3-0 league win over Kennedy (Fremont, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 10-2.

With the loss, Irvington drops to 3-2 on the season. The Vikings travel to Newark Memorial (Newark, CA) to confront the Cougars in a non-league game on Saturday, September 13. The Cougars go into the game with a record of 6-6. Newark Memorial lost 3-0 in their recent league game against James Logan (Union City, CA)
