Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Foard Tigers (Newton, NC) and the host West Iredell Warriors (Statesville, NC), observed Foard's volleyball team top West Iredell by a count of 3-0.
With the win, Foard improves its record to 7-6 on the season. The Tigers travel to South Caldwell (Hudson, NC) to encounter the Spartans in a non-league battle on Monday, September 15. The Spartans go into the battle with a record of 6-3. South Caldwell lost 3-0 in their recent league battle against Watauga (Boone, NC)
The Warriors now own a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Lincoln for a Western Foothills 4A/5A battle on Tuesday, September 16. West Iredell will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Maiden (Maiden, NC). The Knights record now stands at 11-4.
