With the win, George C. Marshall improves its record to 3-8 on the season. The Statesmen travel to Peninsula Catholic (Newport News, VA) to encounter the Knights in a non-league battle on Saturday, September 13. The Knights go into the battle with a record of 2-2. Peninsula Catholic won 3-2 in their recent non-league battle against Northumberland (Heathsville, VA)

The Patriots now own a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host St. John's for a non-league contest on Monday, September 15. Yorktown will meet a Cadets team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Bullis (Potomac, MD). The Cadets record now stands at 6-3.
