The McLean Highlanders volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the host Washington-Liberty Generals to 2 in the Highlanders league triumph on Thursday.

The Highlanders now have a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Wakefield for a Liberty outing on Monday, September 15. McLean will play a Warriors team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Oakton (Vienna, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Washington-Liberty drops to 1-6 on the campaign. The Generals travel to George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA) to play the Statesmen in a Liberty outing on Tuesday, September 16. The Statesmen go into the game with a record of 5-9. George C. Marshall won 2-1 in their recent non-league game against Perquimans (Hertford, NC)
