North Carolina High School Volleyball - Wilkes Central overwhelmed by Starmount

The Starmount Rams topped the host Wilkes Central Eagles volleyball team by a margin of 3-0 in Thursday's league outing.

The Rams now possess a 8-5 record. They play next when they host Ashe County for a Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A outing on Tuesday, September 16. Starmount will play a Huskies team coming off a 3-0 league win over West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 10-3.

With the loss, Wilkes Central drops to 6-7 on the campaign. The Eagles host Freedom (Morganton, NC) to play the Patriots in a non-league outing on Monday, September 15. The Patriots come into the outing with a record of 2-9. Freedom lost 3-1 in their recent league outing against St. Stephens (Hickory, NC)
