The Portal Panthers softball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting Jenkins County War Eagles to 1 in the Panthers league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Portal improves its record to 4-7 on the year. The Panthers travel to McIntosh County Academy (Darien, GA) to clash with the Buccaneers in a 1A D-II Region 3 game on Tuesday, September 13. The Buccaneers come into the game with a record of 2-8.

In their next game, the War Eagles clash with the Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs (Twin City, GA) in a 1A D-II Region 3 game, on Thursday, September 15. Jenkins County will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the game with a 13-4 record after their 4-2 non-league win over Harlem (Harlem, GA).
