Georgia High School Softball - Atkinson County topped by Wheeler County

In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Wheeler County Bulldogs (Alamo, GA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Atkinson County Rebels (Pearson, GA), by a margin of 18-6.

With the triumph, Wheeler County moves its record to 10-6 on the year. The Bulldogs host Claxton (Claxton, GA) to play the Tigers in a non-league contest on Thursday, September 14. The Tigers come into the contest with a record of 6-1. Claxton won 5-4 in their recent league contest against Screven County (Sylvania, GA)

In their next game, the Rebels play the Irwin County Indians (Ocilla, GA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, September 18. Atkinson County will attempt to move on its 3-8 season record. The Indians come into the contest with a 6-5 record after their 11-1 league win over Pelham (Pelham, GA).
