The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) and the visiting James River Knights (Buchanan, VA), saw Carroll County's volleyball squad beat James River by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, Carroll County upgrades its record to 3-3 on the year. The Cavaliers travel to Floyd County (Floyd, VA) to play the Buffaloes in a Three Rivers bout on Thursday, September 14. The Buffaloes go into the bout with a record of 1-6. Floyd County lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Patrick County (Stuart, VA)

The Knights now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Lord Botetourt for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 14. James River will play a Cavaliers squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 4-1.
