The Eagles (1-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Coosa Christian (Gadsden, AL). The Conquerors enter the non-league challenge with a 0-12 record. In their last challenge, Coosa Christian was nudged by Cedar Bluff (Cedar Bluff, AL), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs encounter the Collinsville Panthers (Collinsville, AL) in a 2A Area 13 challenge, on Thursday, September 14. Gaston will attempt to move on its 2-5 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to North Sand Mountain (Higdon, AL).
