The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) and the host William Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA), saw Glenvar's volleyball squad nip William Byrd by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, Glenvar upgrades its record to 4-4 on the year. The Highlanders host Radford (Radford, VA) to play the Bobcats in a Three Rivers bout on Thursday, September 14. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Radford lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Alleghany (Covington, VA)

The Terriers now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they host Lord Botetourt for a Blue Ridge bout on Tuesday, September 19.
