The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Scott Central Rebels (Forest, MS) and the visiting Newton Tigers (Newton, MS), saw Scott Central's volleyball squad beat Newton by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Scott Central upgrades its record to 1-8 on the year. The Rebels travel to Clarkdale (Meridian, MS) to play the Bulldogs in a Class 3 Region 5 bout on Thursday, September 14. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 7-4. Clarkdale lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Lake (Lake, MS)

The Tigers now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Lake for a Class 2 Region 5 bout on Thursday, September 21.
