Match Summary
Playing in their first match in two weeks, the Varsity Phoenix team were very competitive in their first set. They had a back and forth game with exciting rallies! After losing in a close first set, the Phoenix were not able to contain the excellent serving and the consistent hitting of the Lady Lions. The effects of being off for two weeks and being a bit out of practice were apparent. There were bright spots, though, with a spectacular tip/K by Danielle Newman, a jaw-dropping foot dig by Michelle Therrien and some long, suspenseful rallies!
