Texas High School Football - Southwest winner over Nixon

September 12, 2024: Laredo, TX 78043

The Southwest Dragons (San Antonio, TX) football knocked off the host Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX), 34-14 in Thursday's league outing.

The Dragons now sport a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Martin for a 5A-1 Region IV District 14 outing on Friday, September 20. Southwest will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 28-14 non-league loss to Zapata (Zapata, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 0-2.

With the defeat, Nixon drops to 2-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Southside (San Antonio, TX) to clash with the Cardinals in a 5A-1 Region IV District 14 outing on Thursday, September 19. The Cardinals come into the outing with a record of 1-2. Southside won 15-7 in their recent league outing against Cigarroa (Laredo, TX)
