The Giles Spartans volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host George Wythe Maroons to 1 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Spartans now possess a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Narrows for a non-league outing on Monday, September 16. Giles will clash with a Green Waves team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Galax (Galax, VA). The Green Waves record now stands at 5-1.
With the loss, George Wythe drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Maroons host Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA) to clash with the Bears in a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 17. The Bears come into the outing with a record of 3-1.
