Oklahoma High School Softball - Blackwell edges Tonkawa

In Friday's non-league match, the host Blackwell Maroons softball team scored a tight 10-8 win over the Tonkawa Buccaneers.

The Maroons (10-15) will now prepare for their match against Hennessey (Hennessey, OK). The Eagles come into the non-league match with a 7-13 record. In their last match, Hennessey by Alva (Alva, OK), 19-2, in a league match.

In their next game, the Buccaneers battle the Preston Pirates (Preston, OK) in a 2A match, on Monday, September 15. Tonkawa will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Pirates enter the game with a 11-5 record after their 1-0 non-league loss to Inola (Inola, OK).
