The Carnegie Vanguard Rhinos topped the visiting Waltrip Rams volleyball squad by a final score of 3-0 in Friday's league game.

Next up, the Rhinos face the Sharpstown Apollos (Houston, TX) in a 5A Region III District 21 outing, on Tuesday, September 16. Carnegie Vanguard will attempt to upgrade on its 12-4 season record. The Apollos come into the outing with a 2-4 record after their 3-0 league loss to Galena Park (Galena Park, TX).

With the loss, Waltrip drops to 5-13 on the campaign. The Rams host Austin (Houston, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 5A Region III District 21 game on Tuesday, September 16. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 5-3. Austin lost 3-0 in their recent league game against Spring Woods (Houston, TX)
