Texas High School Volleyball - Gilmer tips Pine Tree

Fans at Friday's league contest between the Gilmer Buckeyes (Gilmer, TX) and the host Pine Tree Pirates (Longview, TX), saw Gilmer's volleyball squad nudge Pine Tree by a score of 3-2.

With the win, Gilmer improves its record to 12-11 on the season. The Buckeyes travel to Henderson (Henderson, TX) to encounter the Lions in a 4A Region II District 16 battle on Tuesday, September 16. The Lions go into the battle with a record of 14-13. Henderson lost 3-1 in their recent league battle against Kilgore (Kilgore, TX)

The Pirates now own a 18-11 record. They take the field next when they host Chapel Hill for a 4A Region II District 16 challenge on Tuesday, September 16. Pine Tree will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Carthage (Carthage, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-18.
