The Nixon-Smiley Mustangs topped the visiting Cole Cougars volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Tuesday's league test.
The Mustangs now have a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Great Hearts Monte Vista for a 3A Region IV District 26 test on Friday, September 16. Nixon-Smiley will confront a team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Randolph (Universal City, TX). The record now stands at 1-4.
The Cougars (12-12) will now prepare for their test against Great Hearts Northern Oaks (San Antonio, TX). The Griffins enter the 3A Region IV District 26 test with a 7-3 record. In their last test, Great Hearts Northern Oaks gained a win over Luling (Luling, TX), 3-2, in a league test.
