The Firebirds (5-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Santa Clara (Santa Clara, CA). The Bruins enter the Santa Clara Valley - El Camino challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last challenge, Santa Clara beat MacDonald (San Jose, CA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Bobcats meet the Piedmont Hills Pirates (San Jose, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, September 17. Basis Independent Silicon Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Pirates go into the test with a 3-6 record after their 3-1 league win over Ann Sobrato (Morgan Hill, CA).
