Nebraska High School Volleyball - Grand Island over Columbus

The Grand Island Islanders volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Columbus Discoverers to 0 in the Islanders non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Islanders now sport a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gretna for a non-league match on Saturday, September 13. Grand Island will confront a Dragons squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Bennington (Bennington, NE). The Dragons record now stands at 5-4.

The Discoverers (4-8) will now prepare for their match against Kearney (Kearney, NE). The Bearcats enter the A District match with a 3-5 record. In their last match, Kearney notched a victory over Lincoln High (Lincoln, NE), 3-0, in a league match.
