Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Perry Maroons (Perry, OK) and the visiting Blackwell Maroons (Blackwell, OK), witnessed Perry's softball squad tip Blackwell by a count of 1-0.

The Maroons now sport a 28-5 record. They play next when they travel to Alva for a non-league match on Friday, September 15. Perry will face a Goldbugs squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Chisholm (Enid, OK). The Goldbugs record now stands at 14-9.

With the loss, Blackwell moves to 10-17 on the season. The Maroons travel to Frontier (Red Rock, OK) to face the Mustangs in a non-league match on Friday, September 15. The Mustangs go into the match with a record of 23-5. Frontier won 9-1 in their recent non-league match against Woodland (Fairfax, OK)
