Lincoln Southeast Knights (Lincoln, NE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Fremont Tigers (Fremont, NE), 12-7 in a league challenge.

The Knights now own a 3-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Papillion-LaVista for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 15. Lincoln Southeast will face a Monarchs squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Staley (Kansas City, MO). The Monarchs record now stands at 14-5.

With the loss, Fremont falls to 11-11 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Columbus (Columbus, NE) to face the Discoverers in a A District challenge on Monday, September 18. The Discoverers enter the challenge with a record of 9-8. Columbus won 15-8 in their recent league challenge against Kearney (Kearney, NE)
