The crowd at Thursday's league match between the Spencer Greenwave (Columbus, GA) and the host Kendrick Cherokees (Columbus, GA), saw Spencer's softball squad achieve victory over Kendrick by a count of 36-11.

The Greenwave now sport a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rutland for a 2A Region 2 match on Tuesday, September 20.

With the loss, Kendrick falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Cherokees travel to Academy for Classical Education (Macon, GA) to face the Gryphons in a 2A Region 2 match on Monday, September 19. The Gryphons enter the match with a record of 19-2. Academy for Classical Education won 26-1 in their recent league match against Northeast (Macon, GA)
