Illinois High School Volleyball - New Athens can't hold off Lebanon

In Thursday's league battle, the visiting Lebanon Greyhounds volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the New Athens Yellow Jackets.
The Greyhounds (3-13) will now prepare for their battle against Farina South Central (Farina, IL). The Cougars come into the non-league battle with a 8-4 record. In their last battle, Farina South Central nudged Altamont (Altamont, IL), 2-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Yellow Jackets clash with the East Alton-Wood River Oilers (Wood River, IL) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 17. New Athens will attempt to advance on its 2-8 season record. The Oilers come into the battle with a 5-11 record after their 2-0 league loss to Salem (Salem, IL).
