Chadron Cardinals (Chadron, NE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Chase County Longhorns (Imperial, NE), 12-1 in a league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 8-10 record. They take the field next when they host Gering for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 19. Chadron will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 7-5 league win over Scottsbluff (Scottsbluff, NE). The Bulldogs record now stands at 17-2.

With the loss, Chase County falls to 0-15 on the campaign. The Longhorns host Hershey (Hershey, NE) to face the Panthers in a C District 10 challenge on Monday, September 18. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 6-13.
