Mena Bearcats (Mena, AR) backers were pleased Monday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Paris Eagles (Paris, AR), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Bearcats (8-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Camden Fairview (Camden, AR). The Cardinals come into the 4A 6 challenge with a 1-6 record. In their last challenge, Camden Fairview was beaten by Taylor (Taylor, AR), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the Booneville Bearcats (Booneville, AR) in a 3A 5 challenge, on Tuesday, September 16. Paris will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Magazine (Magazine, AR).
