The Jefferson Bulldogs volleyball team (Jefferson, TX), went down 3-1 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Union Grove Lions (Gladewater, TX)

The Lions (8-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Hawkins (Hawkins, TX). The Hawks come into the 2A Region III District 19 challenge with a 14-5 record.

Next, the Bulldogs encounter the Troup Tigers (Troup, TX) in a 3A Region II District 16 challenge, on Tuesday, September 20. Jefferson will attempt to move on its 8-20 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 18-11 record after their 3-0 league win over Elysian Fields (Elysian Fields, TX).
