In Saturday's non-league contest, the Metcalfe County Hornets (Edmonton, KY) volleyball squad knocked off the host Allen County-Scottsville Patriots (Scottsville, KY), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Hornets battle the Barren County Trojans (Glasgow, KY) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, September 19. Metcalfe County will attempt to better on its 8-9 season record.

With the loss, Allen County-Scottsville drops to 2-4 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Metcalfe County (Edmonton, KY) to battle the Hornets in a non-league contest on Thursday, October 12. The Hornets come into the contest with a record of 8-10.
