The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Verndale Pirates (Verndale, MN) and the host Crosby-Ironton Rangers (Crosby, MN), saw Verndale's volleyball squad beat Crosby-Ironton by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Verndale upgrades its record to 8-1 on the year. The Pirates host Pillager (Pillager, MN) to play the Huskies in a Park Region bout on Thursday, September 21. The Huskies go into the bout with a record of 5-5.

The Rangers now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Upsala for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 16. Crosby-Ironton will play a Cardinals squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Swanville (Swanville, MN). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-4.
