Iowa High School Volleyball - Mt. Vernon tips Lincoln

September 16, 2023: Mt. Vernon, IA 52314

In Saturday's non-league contest, the Mt. Vernon Mustangs (Mt. Vernon, IA) volleyball squad nudged the visiting Lincoln Lynx (Council Bluffs, IA), by a margin of 2-1.

Next up, the Mustangs battle the Creston Panthers (Creston, IA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 16. Mt. Vernon will attempt to better on its 14-1 season record. The Panthers go into the contest with a 5-10 record after their 3-0 league loss to Denison-Schleswig (Denison, IA).

With the loss, Lincoln moves to 11-10 on the year. The Lynx travel to Sergeant Bluff-Luton (Sergeant Bluff, IA) to battle the Warriors in a Missouri River contest on Tuesday, September 19. The Warriors go into the contest with a record of 7-8.
