Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Buffalo Gap Bison (Swoope, VA) and the host Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA), observed Buffalo Gap's volleyball team top Nelson County by a count of 3-0.

The Bison (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Riverheads (Staunton, VA). The Gladiators enter the Shenandoah contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Riverheads was knocked off by James River (Buchanan, VA), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Governors battle the Chatham Cavaliers (Chatham, VA) in a Dogwood contest, on Tuesday, September 17. Nelson County will attempt to move on its 0-7 season record. The Cavaliers enter the contest with a 1-4 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA).
