Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Archbishop Mitty Monarchs (San Jose, CA) and the host Archbishop Riordan Crusaders (San Francisco, CA), observed Archbishop Mitty's volleyball team top Archbishop Riordan by a count of 3-1.

The Monarchs (7-0) will now prepare for their contest against Saint Francis (Mountain View, CA). The Lancers enter the West Catholic contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, Saint Francis notched a victory over Archbishop Riordan (San Francisco, CA), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Crusaders battle the Valley Christian Warriors (San Jose, CA) in a West Catholic contest, on Tuesday, September 23. Archbishop Riordan will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Warriors go into the battle with a 6-2 record after their 3-0 league win over Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory (San Francisco, CA).
