Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Langley Saxons (McLean, VA) and the host Yorktown Patriots (Arlington, VA), observed Langley's volleyball team top Yorktown by a count of 3-0.

The Saxons (10-3) will now prepare for their contest against George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA). The Statesmen enter the Liberty contest with a 7-9 record. In their last contest, George C. Marshall notched a victory over Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA), 3-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Patriots battle the Wakefield Warriors (Arlington, VA) in a Liberty battle, on Thursday, September 18. Yorktown will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Warriors go into the battle with a 4-6 record after their 3-1 league loss to McLean (McLean, VA).
