The Rogers Pirates volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Tharptown Wildcats to 0 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Pirates now possess a 5-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Covenant Christian for a non-league match on Thursday, September 18. Rogers will confront a Eagles squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Belgreen (Russellville, AL). The Eagles record now stands at 9-12.
The Wildcats (8-12) will now prepare for their match against Mars Hill Bible (Florence, AL). The Panthers enter the 2A Area 14 match with a 13-6 record. In their last match, Mars Hill Bible was dropped by West Point (Cullman, AL), 2-0, in a non-league match.
