In Tuesday's league outing, the host Cannon County Lions soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the York Institute Dragons.

The Lions (6-1) will now prepare for their outing against Smith County (Carthage, TN). The Owls enter the A District 5 outing with a 8-2 record. In their last outing, Smith County tipped White County (Sparta, TN), 9-0, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Dragons confront the Clinton County Bulldogs (Albany, KY) in a non-league outing, on Thursday, September 19. York Institute will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record.
