The Elmore City-Pernell Badgers softball team scored 16 runs and held the host Velma-Alma Comets to 11 in the Badgers league win on Tuesday.

The Badgers now possess a 8-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ninnekah for a Class A battle on Friday, September 20. Elmore City-Pernell will confront a Owls team coming off a 15-0 non-league loss to Binger-Oney (Binger, OK). The Owls record now stands at 0-21.

With the loss, Velma-Alma moves to 10-13 on the season. The Comets host Waurika (Waurika, OK) to confront the Eagles in a Class A battle on Monday, September 23. The Eagles come into the battle with a record of 3-14. Waurika lost 15-3 in their recent non-league battle against Big Pasture (Randlett, OK)
