In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Clarksdale Wildcats volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Yazoo City Indians.
The Wildcats (10-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Holmes County Central (Lexington, MS). The Jaguars go into the Class 5A Region 2 battle with a 3-8 record. In their last battle, Holmes County Central was edged by Canton (Canton, MS), 3-0, in a league battle.
The Indians now own a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cleveland Central for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 19. Yazoo City will encounter a Wolves squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Holmes County Central (Lexington, MS). The Wolves record now stands at 4-9.
