Texas High School Volleyball - Wharton overwhelmed by Sweeny

Sweeny Bulldogs (Sweeny, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Wharton Tigers (Wharton, TX), 3-0 in a league test.

With the win, Sweeny improves its record to 21-9 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Brazosport (Freeport, TX) to face the Exporters in a 4A Region IV District 29 test on Friday, September 20. The Exporters go into the test with a record of 13-6. Brazosport won 3-0 in their recent league test against La Marque (La Marque, TX)

The Tigers now own a 2-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bay City for a 4A Region IV District 29 test on Friday, September 20. Wharton will face a Blackcats squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Needville (Needville, TX). The Blackcats record now stands at 14-12.
