The Herbert Hoover Huskies were victorious over the visiting Huntington Highlanders volleyball team by a margin of 2-0 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Huskies now possess a 19-2 record. They play next when they host Nitro for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 18. Herbert Hoover will clash with a Wildcats team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Winfield (Winfield, WV). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-4.

With the loss, Huntington drops to 4-6 on the campaign. The Highlanders host South Charleston (South Charleston, WV) to clash with the Black Eagles in a Mountain State bout on Thursday, September 18. The Black Eagles come into the bout with a record of 10-9. South Charleston won 3-1 in their recent non-league match against St. Joseph Central (Huntington, WV)
