The Oconee County Warriors softball team (Watkinsville, GA), was tipped 5-4 in Monday's league test with the host Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA)

Coming up next, the Purple Hurricanes clash with the Franklin County Lions (Carnesville, GA) in a 3A Region 8 test, on Tuesday, September 19. Monroe Area will attempt to improve on its 5-12 season record. The Lions come into the test with a 15-2 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Thomson (Thomson, GA).
