Oconee County Warriors (Watkinsville, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA), 12-2 in a league challenge.

The Warriors now sport a 4-18 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bethlehem Christian Academy for a non-league challenge on Monday, October 2. Oconee County will face a Knights squad coming off a 10-2 non-league win over Gatewood (Eatonton, GA). The Knights record now stands at 10-11.

With the loss, Monroe Area falls to 7-16 on the campaign. The Purple hurricanes travel to Hebron Christian Academy (Dacula, GA) to face the Lions in a 3A Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, October 3. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 17-8. Hebron Christian Academy won 8-4 in their recent league challenge against Hart County (Hartwell, GA)
