The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA) and the host Parry McCluer Fighting Blues (Buena Vista, VA), saw Amherst County's volleyball squad beat Parry McCluer by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, Amherst County upgrades its record to 4-4 on the year. The Lancers travel to Rustburg (Rustburg, VA) to play the Red Devils in a Seminole bout on Tuesday, September 19. The Red Devils go into the bout with a record of 10-2. Rustburg won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Heritage (Lynchburg, VA)

The Fighting Blues now own a 1-8 record. They play next when they host Bath County for a Pioneer bout on Thursday, September 21. Parry McCluer will play a Chargers squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Craig County (New Castle, VA). The Chargers record now stands at 8-4.
