The Thornton Fractional North Meteors held off the visiting Bloom Blazing Trojan volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Monday's non-league test.
The Meteors now have a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oak Forest for a South Suburban test on Tuesday, September 19. Thornton Fractional North will confront a Bengals team coming off a 2-0 league win over Blue Island Eisenhower (Blue Island, IL). The Bengals record now stands at 9-4.
The Blazing Trojan (8-10) will now prepare for their test against Crete-Monee (Crete, IL). The Warriors enter the Southland test with a 8-6 record. In their last test, Crete-Monee held off Grant Park (Grant Park, IL), 2-0, in a non-league test.
