Summerville Bears (Tuolumne, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Riverbank Bruins (Riverbank, CA), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Bears (6-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Big Valley Christian (Modesto, CA). The Lions come into the challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Big Valley Christian lost by Bret Harte (Angels Camp, CA), 2-0, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bruins face the Linden Lions (Linden, CA) in a test, on Tuesday, September 23. Riverbank will attempt to advance on its 3-2 season record. The Lions go into the test with a 4-4 record after their 2-0 non-league win over McNair (Stockton, CA).
