Mercer Mustangs (Mercer, PA) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Commodore Perry Panthers (Hadley, PA), 8-1 in a league test.

The Mustangs (7-3) will now prepare for their outing against Wilmington (New Wilmington, PA). The Greyhounds go into the District 10 Region 1 outing with a 9-3 record. In their last outing, Wilmington got by Sharpsville (Sharpsville, PA), 2-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Panthers play the West Middlesex Big Reds (West Middlesex, PA) in a District 10 Region 1 outing, on Monday, September 22. Commodore Perry will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Big Reds go into the outing with a 2-9 record after their 8-1 non-league loss to Fort LeBoeuf (Waterford, PA).
