The Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes triumphed over the host Cherokee Bluff Bears softball squad by a count of 12-0 in Thursday's league challenge.
Next, the Purple Hurricanes play the Social Circle Redskins (Social Circle, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 22. Monroe Area will attempt to upgrade on its 12-7 season record. The Redskins enter the challenge with a 18-3 record after their 10-0 league win over Jasper County (Monticello, GA).
The Bears (9-5) will now prepare for their challenge against North Hall (Gainesville, GA). The Trojans enter the non-league challenge with a 12-5 record. In their last challenge, North Hall overcame Dawson County (Dawsonville, GA), 16-4, in a league battle.
