The Cougars now possess a 5-3 record. They play next when they host Cedar Ridge for a 2A 2 outing on Tuesday, September 23. Izard County will play a Timberwolves team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Palestine-Wheatley (Palestine, AR). The Timberwolves record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Alpena falls to 0-7 on the year. The Leopards host Omaha (Omaha, AR) to confront the Eagles in a 2A 2 game on Tuesday, September 23. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 4-5. Omaha lost 3-0 in their recent league game against Cotter (Cotter, AR)
