Illinois High School Volleyball - Urbana can't get by Champaign Central

Champaign Central Maroons (Champaign, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting Urbana Tigers (Urbana, IL), 2-1 in a league test.

With the win, Champaign Central improves its record to 3-13 on the season. The Maroons host Normal Community (Normal, IL) to face the Ironmen in a Big Twelve test on Tuesday, September 23. The Ironmen go into the test with a record of 10-1. Normal Community won 2-0 in their recent league test against Peoria Notre Dame (Peoria, IL)

The Tigers now own a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Richwoods for a Big Twelve test on Thursday, September 25.
