South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS) backers were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Corinth Warriors (Corinth, MS), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars (11-15) will now prepare for their test against Tishomingo County (Iuka, MS). The Braves go into the Class 4A Region 1 test with a 9-12 record. In their last test, Tishomingo County gained a win over Corinth (Corinth, MS), 3-0, in a league test.

The Warriors now sport a 2-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Albany for a Class 4A Region 1 test on Monday, September 22. Corinth will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-0 league win over South Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 23-10.
